Road Ready Terms of Use
Last updated: July 7, 2026
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and Anne Marie Technologies LLC, 228 Park Ave S #624481, New York, NY 10003, USA (“Road Ready,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), governing your use of the Road Ready study app and related websites and services, including our marketing site at getroadready.app, our web app at app.getroadready.app, and our mobile apps (collectively, the “Service”).
Please read these Terms carefully. They include important provisions that limit our liability and, in the “Dispute Resolution” section, require most disputes to be resolved by binding individual arbitration and waive your right to a jury trial and to participate in class actions. By creating an account, making a purchase, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
This document is published at https://getroadready.app/terms.
1. What Road Ready is (and what it is not)
Road Ready is a study and practice tool to help you prepare for a US state driver’s-license learner’s-permit or DMV knowledge test. It currently offers practice questions, practice tests, progress tracking, and study features for several US states (including New York, Texas, California, New Jersey, and Florida), with some content available in additional languages.
Important:
- Road Ready is an independent study aid. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any state Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV), Department of Public Safety, or any other government agency.
- Our practice questions and materials are for study purposes only. They are not the actual exam, are not official government materials, and may differ from the questions on your real test.
- We do not guarantee that using Road Ready will result in a passing score on any exam, or any particular outcome. Test formats, rules, fees, and requirements are set by your state and can change at any time. Always confirm current requirements and study the official materials provided by your state’s licensing authority.
2. Eligibility and minors
The Service is intended for people preparing for a driving-knowledge test, some of whom are minors.
- To make a purchase, you must be at least 18 years old, or have the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf and takes responsibility for the purchase.
- If you are under 18, you may use the Service only with the knowledge and consent of a parent or legal guardian, who is responsible for your use of the Service and bound by these Terms.
- The Service is not intended for children under 13, and children under 13 may not create an account. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle information relating to minors.
By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements and that the information you provide is accurate.
3. Your account
To use most features you create an account through our authentication provider (Clerk), for example using your email address, Sign in with Apple, or Google sign-in.
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
- You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date.
- Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.
- You may not share, sell, or transfer your account or access to another person.
4. License to use the Service
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for your own personal, non-commercial study purposes.
You agree not to, and not to help or permit anyone else to:
- Copy, scrape, harvest, republish, distribute, sell, license, or otherwise exploit the Service or its content (including our question banks, explanations, and other study materials), except as expressly allowed by these Terms or built-in sharing features;
- Use the Service to build, train, or improve any competing product, dataset, or model;
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code or underlying data, except to the extent this restriction is prohibited by applicable law;
- Circumvent, disable, or interfere with security, access-control, paywall, or entitlement features (including trying to unlock paid features without paying);
- Access the Service through automated means (bots, scrapers) except as we expressly permit;
- Upload malware, disrupt or overload the Service, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to any system or account; or
- Use the Service in violation of any applicable law or these Terms.
We may investigate and take action (including suspending or terminating access) for any suspected violation.
5. Purchases, “lifetime access,” and payment
5.1 What you’re buying
Road Ready offers a one-time purchase that unlocks “lifetime access” to the paid features of the Service. “Lifetime” means for as long as we continue to offer the Service and your account remains in good standing under these Terms — it is not a guarantee that the Service, any particular feature, state, or language will be available indefinitely, and it does not refer to your personal lifetime. We may modify, add, or discontinue features over time (see “Changes,” below).
Your paid status is tied to your account, and our servers are the authoritative record of whether your account has lifetime access. Once you’ve purchased on one platform, your access is recognized across the platforms where you sign in with the same account (for example, buy on the web and your paid features unlock in the app, and vice versa).
5.2 How you pay
- Web purchases are processed by Stripe. When you check out, you provide your payment details directly to Stripe; we do not receive or store your full payment card number.
- Mobile purchases are processed by the Apple App Store (and, once Android launches, Google Play) and managed through RevenueCat. These purchases are also governed by the applicable app store’s terms.
- If you buy on mobile, you can use the “Restore purchases” option to re-apply a prior purchase to a reinstalled app or a new device signed in to the same store account.
5.3 Prices, taxes, and changes
All prices are stated at the point of purchase and may be subject to applicable taxes. We may change our prices from time to time; the price in effect when you purchase is the price that applies to that purchase. We are not obligated to provide future features or content at any particular price.
5.4 Refunds
- Mobile purchases (Apple App Store / Google Play) are subject to that store’s own refund policies and processes. We do not directly control or process store refunds; please use the store’s refund process.
- Web purchases (Stripe): because Road Ready is a digital product that unlocks access
immediately, web purchases are generally non-refundable, except where a refund is required by
applicable law or where we choose to grant one at our discretion. If you believe you’re entitled
to a refund, contact us at
support@getroadready.app.
Nothing in this section limits any non-waivable statutory rights you may have as a consumer.
6. Apple App Store and Google Play terms
If you download or purchase through the Apple App Store or Google Play, the following additional terms apply. In the event of a conflict between these Terms and an app store’s rules, the app store’s rules control to the extent of the conflict for that store.
These Terms are between you and Anne Marie Technologies LLC only, not with Apple Inc. or Google LLC. The app store providers are not responsible for the Service or its content. Specifically, for the Apple App Store:
- Scope of license: Your license to the app is a non-transferable license to use it on any Apple-branded products that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Usage Rules.
- Maintenance and support: We — not Apple — are solely responsible for providing any maintenance and support for the app. Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support.
- Warranty: We are solely responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied by law, to the extent not effectively disclaimed. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price (if any) for the app; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the app.
- Product claims: We — not Apple — are responsible for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to the app or your possession and/or use of it, including product-liability claims, any claim that the app fails to conform to any legal or regulatory requirement, and claims arising under consumer-protection, privacy, or similar legislation.
- Intellectual property: In the event of any third-party claim that the app or your use of it infringes that third party’s intellectual property rights, we — not Apple — are responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of any such claim.
- Legal compliance: You represent and warrant that you are not located in a country subject to a US-Government embargo or designated as “terrorist supporting,” and that you are not listed on any US-Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Developer contact: Questions, complaints, or claims regarding the app should be directed to
Anne Marie Technologies LLC, 228 Park Ave S #624481, New York, NY 10003, USA;
support@getroadready.app. - Third-party beneficiary: You acknowledge that Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and that upon your acceptance, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.
Purchases through an app store are also subject to that store’s payment, billing, and refund terms.
7. Intellectual property
The Service and all of its content and materials — including questions, explanations, text, graphics, logos, the “Road Ready” name and branding, software, and design — are owned by Anne Marie Technologies LLC or our licensors and are protected by intellectual-property and other laws. Except for the limited license in Section 4, we reserve all rights. You receive no ownership rights in the Service or its content.
8. Your content and feedback
The Service lets you generate study data (such as practice results, bookmarks, and profile information). As between you and us, that data is yours; we handle it as described in our Privacy Policy.
If you send us suggestions, ideas, or other feedback about the Service, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, worldwide license to use and incorporate that feedback for any purpose, without any obligation or compensation to you.
9. Third-party services
The Service relies on third-party providers — including Clerk (sign-in), Stripe (web payments), RevenueCat and the Apple App Store / Google Play (mobile purchases), Apple (Sign in with Apple), and Google (analytics and advertising measurement). Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services, and their inclusion does not imply our endorsement. Any links to third-party websites are provided for convenience only.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement, and any warranties arising from course of dealing or usage of trade.
Without limiting the above, we specifically make no warranty that:
- The Service or its practice materials are accurate, complete, current, or error-free, or that they match any official exam or the requirements of any state;
- Using the Service will cause you to pass any test or achieve any particular result; or
- The Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or available at any particular time or location.
Road Ready is not legal, licensing, or professional advice, and it is not a substitute for the official materials and requirements published by your state’s licensing authority. You are responsible for verifying current requirements with the appropriate authority.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of the above exclusions may not apply to you.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- In no event will Anne Marie Technologies LLC or its officers, members, employees, or agents be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the Service — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
- Our total aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) US $50.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of the above may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
12. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Anne Marie Technologies LLC and its officers, members, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.
13. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service at any time and may delete your account from within the app. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, in whole or in part, at any time if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, to protect the Service or other users, or as required by law. If your account is terminated for a serious violation of these Terms, you may lose access to paid features without a refund, to the extent permitted by law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 7, 10, 11, 12, 14, and 15) will survive.
14. Changes to the Service and to these Terms
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, including adding or removing states, languages, or features. We may also update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice (such as an in-app notice). Changes are effective when posted. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms; if you do not agree, stop using the Service.
15. Governing law and dispute resolution
15.1 Governing law
These Terms and any dispute arising out of or relating to them or the Service are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and by applicable US federal law (including the Federal Arbitration Act). The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.
15.2 Informal resolution first
Before starting any formal proceeding, you agree to first contact us at support@getroadready.app
and give us 30 days to resolve the dispute informally. Most concerns can be resolved this way.
15.3 Binding arbitration and class-action waiver
Please read this section carefully — it affects your legal rights.
If we can’t resolve a dispute informally, you and we agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved by binding individual arbitration, rather than in court, except as set out below. The arbitration will be administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, and may be conducted by telephone, video, or written submissions, or in person in a mutually agreed location in Texas. The arbitrator will decide the dispute and may award the same individual relief a court could.
Class-action waiver. You and we agree that each may bring claims against the other only in an individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, consolidated, or representative proceeding. The arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person’s claims or preside over any form of class proceeding.
Exceptions. Either party may (a) bring an individual claim in small-claims court if it qualifies, and (b) seek injunctive or other equitable relief in court to protect intellectual property or stop unauthorized use of the Service.
Opt-out. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement within 30 days of first accepting
these Terms by emailing support@getroadready.app with your name, account email, and a clear
statement that you opt out of arbitration. If you opt out (or to the extent a dispute is not subject
to arbitration), you agree that the state and federal courts located in Texas will have exclusive
jurisdiction, and you consent to personal jurisdiction and venue there.
16. General
- Entire agreement. These Terms and the documents they reference (including the Privacy Policy) are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements on that subject.
- Severability. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect, and the unenforceable provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary.
- No waiver. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later.
- Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
- Force majeure. We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
- Notices. We may provide notices to you by email or in-app. You may contact us as set out below.
